In the realm of space exploration, the idea of a propellant-less drive has long been the stuff of dreams. The ability to produce thrust without expelling mass could revolutionize the way we explore the cosmos. Recently, a former NASA engineer and his company, Exodus Propulsion Technologies, have claimed to have discovered a way to achieve this. The claim is that their drive can produce enough thrust to counteract Earth’s gravity, a feat that would defy the laws of physics as we know them. This article delves into the fascinating story of this “New Force” and its potential impact on space travel.

The Birth of the Impossible Drive

The quest for a propellant-less drive took a significant turn in 2001 when British Electrical Engineer Roger Shawyer introduced the EmDrive. Dubbed the “impossible drive,” it was said to be reactionless, challenging the principles of physics, particularly the conservation of momentum. The scientific community greeted this claim with skepticism, given the revolutionary nature of such a discovery.

Over the next two decades, the EmDrive underwent extensive testing, with scientists eager to see if it could truly defy the laws of physics. By 2021, the consensus was clear: the EmDrive could not deliver on its promises. Despite the device’s failure, the pursuit of a propellant-less drive did not end there. Researchers continued to explore new possibilities, driven by the dream of unlocking a new era of space travel.

The Emergence of a New Challenger

As the EmDrive faded into scientific history, a new contender emerged, led by Charles Buhler, a former NASA scientist. Buhler’s work at the Kennedy Space Center’s Electrostatics and Surface Physics Laboratory laid the foundation for his current endeavors. Now, as a co-founder of Exodus Propulsion Technologies, he claims to have developed a drive powered by a “New Force” that operates outside the known laws of physics.

This innovative drive is said to generate a sustainable force through electric fields alone, allowing for center-of-mass translation without the expulsion of mass. Such a discovery, if verified, would fundamentally alter our understanding of physics and open up new possibilities for propulsion technology. However, Buhler acknowledges that independent verification is crucial to confirm these groundbreaking claims.

The Role of Electrostatics in Propulsion

Buhler’s journey into the realm of electrostatic propulsion began with his expertise in the field. His team, composed of individuals from NASA, Blue Origin, and the Air Force, has spent decades investigating propellant-less drives. Their efforts culminated in the development of a drive that, for the first time, generated enough thrust to overcome Earth’s gravity using electrostatics.

The key to this success lies in the discovery that systems with asymmetry in electrostatic pressure or electrostatic divergent fields can produce a non-zero force component. This means that under certain conditions, a force can be applied to an object without the need for propellant. Such a breakthrough could pave the way for new propulsion systems that redefine the limits of space exploration.

Navigating the Path of Scientific Scrutiny

While the claims of a propellant-less drive powered by a “New Force” are undeniably exciting, the history of such endeavors is littered with unfulfilled promises. The scientific community remains cautious, emphasizing the need for rigorous, third-party research to verify the results. The story of the EmDrive serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us that subsequent studies can often overturn initial positive results.

Despite the challenges, the pursuit of alternative propulsion methods continues to captivate the imagination of scientists and enthusiasts alike. The potential discovery of an unknown quirk of physics could unlock new frontiers in space exploration. For now, the world watches with bated breath as Buhler and his team seek to prove that their improbable engine is indeed a reality.

As the journey towards propellant-less propulsion unfolds, one can’t help but wonder about the future of space travel. Will the discovery of a “New Force” revolutionize our understanding of physics, or will it become another chapter in the annals of scientific curiosity? The possibility of redefining the boundaries of space exploration prompts us to ask: what other mysteries of the universe await our discovery?

Using downed alien spacecraft, engineers solved anti-gravity in October 1954. In huge underground facilities in California and elsewhere, American aircraft companies have built and have been flying replications of the alien spacecrafts for years.
On YouTube look up Dr Steven M. Greer.

    • Hahahaha Peer review the biggest joke out there…. So much has been kept back due to peer review… It’s a shoddy process that’s for sure

    • I believe there is something called free energy out there which the governments of the world don’t want us ordinary civilians to know about because they are making vast amounts of money out of petrol and diesel

Dr Steven M. Greer talks about this, and SHOWS EXAMPLES in “The Lost Century and How to Reclaim It” free on YouTube.

      • “Free” lol solar energy is free, tidal energy is free… equipment made to generate and store power from any kind of free energy source has production, maintenance, and other costs.
The only way any kind of energy will be be available for free is if everything was free.

Why hasn’t the scientific community been more vocal about this if it’s such a breakthrough?

Thank you for the comprehensive article, it’s fascinating to read about new possibilities in space travel!

    • Sounds a lot like maglev to me. The Earth is chock full of magnetic materials – including its core. I wonder what it would push against in space?

    • This is how UFOs work, what’s the likelihood this team are being fed back engineered technology discerned from recovered craft, or directly from non human entitys themselves?

    • I believe there is such a thing as free energy out there which has been derived from exsterrestial beings which the governments of this world don’t want us to have because they are making vast amounts of money from fossil fuels instead

    • Because most of them main stream are corrupt and follow the lead of the intelligence services … Only takes a small amount of Brian power to figure that out

  3. For reading an article on a science website, y’all sure aren’t understanding it. It literally says it needs to be tested further by independent scientists.

  4. Whats the rush??
This technology has been re- engineered
Since the late 1940s , sorry that so many sheeple think its something new

  5. Call me a sceptic on

No explanation of the inner workings, no details of any papers this is linked to – in fact, no details of any kind at all. An empty article with no concrete information of any kind. May as well tell us to go and Google this random thing someone once heard a rumour about.

  6. Classified if true, but to counteract gravity is the soul purpose of life for any intelligent species hoping to escape to a boundless sea of physical bodies and the life thats probably dwelling there already. The question is, will science or nature win and will those who have already conquered such physics allow us to journey there? I would keep it under wraps and not let the space people know we have that capability because I don’t know about you but I’m unsure of their motives at this point.

  7. I would imagine that if the technology is scalable it would find it’s way in to all kinds of terrestrial applications. For example, air and ground transportation, drones, building construction, aerial platforms for everything from filming to launch vehicles, search and rescue, and of course military use. It would change everything and would be right up there with the discovery of electricity or the invention of the transistor.

  9. I’ve had many a discussion with academic friends on this subject for years and, if proven, appears to vindicate a long-held theory…

When a mass is set in motion, relative to an observer, time is dilated – generally by an immeasurable amount. The force used to move the mass is translated to relative time. We describe this in terms of observable ‘kinetic energy’, rather than by time dilation.

Now, instead of describing how much force is required to put a stationary object in motion, what if we were to consider time dilation instead, and how we might achieve it?

It is a long-held conjecture that creating a spinning electrostatic field (a vortex) could achieve this. Furthermore, if a human subject were in such a craft and subjected to the same dilated time of the craft, they would not experience the otherwise crushing G-forces under rapid acceleration. Now ask why/how unexplained inhabited craft (UFO/UAP/Whatever) can reportedly
    manouevre at ‘impossible’ speeds.

However, I don’t believe we can expect to see such technologies emerge on the world stage anytime soon, particularly as there are many other things that could be realised with a ‘new understanding’ – let alone entire industries (based on conventional propulsion) obsolesced overnight.

We can however expect to hear that this is all fake news, or never really worked, like the Roswell ‘weather balloon’. So, whatever your beliefs or persuasions, we will never know. Hiwever, I am inspired to put my own beliefs to the test – for myself, rather than believe the cherry-picking nay-sayers, often dismissing such things with explanations more implausible than the probability that they don’t understand everything.

On that score, both ardent believers and skeptics alike do us no favours at-all, and I refuse to believe that clear personal observations of such craft, with friends, on two separate occasions, were the product of ‘mass-hallucinations’ and such.

  10. The science community is a total laughing stock ATM you lot.look absolutely clueless half the time especially in comments… It’s like your not very smart at all but do everyone else’s science hahahaha most of you never find one thing new out but yet get your say on peer review hahahaha it’s so messed up

  11. I expect they have been trying to back engineer this at Area 51 for years ,maybe they have cracked it from from the captured alien craft that they have got and had for years .
The truth is out there 😎
